Our interviews with inspiring international students in Denmark continue, and today, Carlos Vasquez is in the spotlight. Carlos started his master's program at the University of Copenhagen in September, where he studies Pharmaceutical Sciences.

He is a member of the Young Professionals in Denmark program, which he uses for networking and career opportunities. His story will shed light on his decision to study in Denmark, his ambitions, and his advice for others who may embark on their own Denmark journey.

Why did you decide to pursue your master's degree in Denmark and what are you studying?

There are two reasons I applied for my master's degree in Denmark. The first reason being Medicon Valley. Secondly, I graduated from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in December 2017, after that I did a volunteer job in Europe. I got my scholarship letter from the Mexican government while I was working in Europe and decided to go to Denmark in March 2018 to explore the country and its university opportunities. I emailed the professors, and all of them responded and were incredibly friendly. They gave me the opportunity to ask questions, visit the labs, and meet former students who could give me first hand insight into the program. One of the best things for me was that they could listen to music in the labs, that was a game changer for me.
